6. Milk cookies

Ingredients Amount
White flour 175 g
Sugar* 90 g
Milk powder 25 g
Ghee (Clarified butter) 100 g


Method
  • Sieve flour with milk powder.
  • Beat the ghee with icing sugar till light and fluffy.
  • Fold in the flour gradually till soft dough is formed. Leave dough aside for 30 minutes.
  • Roll out dough in to thick chapathi and cut out in to 35 pieces of desired shapes with the help of moulds and arrange on greased baking trays.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 150 deg C for 12-15 minutes. The moment you see the cookies are changing to golden brown colour take it out of oven. Cool it.
 
Variation - You can prepare ginger cookies by using ginger powder (1/4th tsp) in place of almond essence.
