- Remove skin from chicken,turkey, mutton and trim extra fat from meat before cooking.
- When you have to use fat,use edible oils like olive oil,mustard oil,groundnut oil,safflower oil and sunflower oil instead of butter or ghee.
- Consume less baked products like cakes,pastries,pickles,fried papad,oily snacks as they are rich in sodium and oil.
- Use other seasoning materials,e.g.jeera,ajwain,dhaniya ,ginger,garlic etc. and reduce salt during cooking.
- Change to a salt with a low-sodium high potassium formulation.
