Rice flakes roasted |
½ katori (30 g) |
Dry red chilies(Roasted) |

Turmeric powder |

1 tbsp (15 ml) |

Method |

Wash the Colocasia thoroughly. Pressure cook in a vessel over water for 2-3 whistles. Make sure the Colocasia is cooked but not overcooked. |

Remove and peel the Colocasia. Cut into ¼ th thick roundels. Keep aside. |

Grind together the roasted rice flake, roasted red chilies, asafetida and turmeric powder to fine powder. |
|
Heat oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds in it. |
|
When they crackle, add the Colocasia, salt and the ground powder. Stir fry till mixture is crisp. Serve hot. |
|
Variation – You can make potatoes in similar way. |
