3. Oats Halwa (oats pudding)
Ingredients Amount
Oats flake (Powdered) 1 katori (94g)
Sugar* 10 tsp (50g)
Cardamom 2 crushed
Ghee 6 tsp (30g)
Water 2 tea cup (300ml)
Raisins (Manuka) 3-4 (optional)
Almonds 1-2 (optional)
 
Method
 
  Mix water, raisins, crushed cardamom and sugar. Boil and remove from fire. Stir to dissolve the sugar. Keep aside.
  Heat ghee in a kadhai, fry oats powder on low heat till they just change colour to golden brown and give a nice aroma...
  Add sugar water mixture, stirring continuously for 3-4 minutes till the halwa leaves the sides of the kadhai. Remove from fire, decorate with shredded almonds. Serve hot
   
Variation – You can make use of Daliya or Sooji or vermicelli (Salt free) in place of oats to prepare respective halwa.
